Grounding in the physical world forces a model to learn how cause, effect, and physical objects actually work: knowledge that language alone can’t fully capture. The physical layer is the most efficient path to complete AGI* — and very likely a necessary one.

Towards embodied general purpose agents.

Robots are still demos. Too clumsy and 5-10x slower than humans at real-world tasks. Solving the physical layer of intelligence unlocks human-level agility in real, everyday environments. The goal: general purpose physical intelligence.

Embodied intelligence compounds in two directions. Outward, into the economy: fleets of agile humanoids reshaping eldercare, construction, infrastructure, and exploration beyond Earth. Inward, into intelligence itself: physical experience unlocking cognitive capabilities language alone cannot teach. We’re building the source of both.
